Our favorite part of the weddings we've been to is... well, it's the dancing. But our second-favorite part is the down time when you get to chat, relax, meet new people, and find your own fun. We've deliberately left a lot of space in the schedule so that everyone can let serendipity and joy guide them.

To that end, we encourage you to bring games that you love to play outside, musical instruments, lawn chairs, a hammock, or whatever else helps you enjoy a summer day outdoors. See also the packing list.

Friday 7/30 — Fun at the farm

We’ll be at the farm all day on Friday setting up, but we won’t have any “official” activities planned until the evening. We would love to see you any time after 2pm, though we might be a little busy until around 6. We’d appreciate any help you can offer, but of course you’re welcome to just relax, play games, and hang out!

In the evening, we’ll have a simple dinner together, share stories at a special storytelling event, and sing karaoke.

Saturday 7/31 — Wedding day

The ceremony begins at 3pm. There's plenty more before and after:

• In the morning, we’ll continue setting up. Those who want to can help decorate for the wedding! Just like on Friday, we’d love your help if you can offer it, but you’re also welcome to just hang out around the farm.
• At 1pm, we'll take formal photos with family and the wedding parties.
• At 3pm, the ceremony will begin.
• After the ceremony, we'll take a group photo with everyone together, followed by a cocktail hour.
• Around 4:30pm, dinner and the reception will begin. During the reception, we'll have:
• Toasts and memories
• A beginners' contra dance
• A beginners' bachata dance lesson
• A beginners' salsa dance lesson
• And then lots of dancing and great music!

Note that there will not be any meals offered for breakfast or lunch, though we'll have snacks around all day. Please eat before arriving, or bring a small meal with you.

Sunday 8/1 — More country fun

On Sunday morning, we’ll have an informal breakfast at the farm. Then we'll head out to Gilbert Lake State Park for a leisurely picnic afternoon.
